Teams from Austria and Slovenia claimed the top honours on the first stop of this years MEVZA Beach Volleyball Tour. Rimser/Almer (women) and Zemljak/Pokersnik (women) came out victorious at the IČIĆI MEVZA CHALLENGE 2016 in Kvarner Bay (CRO).

This was the first ever MEVZA Beach Volleyball event to take place in Croatia The organisation of this tournament was a major step for MEVZA but even more for the Beach Volleyball Club Opatija and Croatias Beach Volleyball family as well, as it was shown by the large interest the event is attracting from fans and media alike.

Just one week later (June 29 to July 2) the tour visits Beachclub Strahov in Prague, where the main competition with each 16 teams takes place. At the same time the MEVZA U20 & U18 Beach Volleyball Championships 2016 happen in the Czech capital. At each one of this four youth competitions eight teams compete.

In age band U16 the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Champion is determined from July 16 to 17 in Preddvor (SLO). Also in this competition each eight womens and mens teams out of the MEVZA-member nations are booked in the list.
